existThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, your journey with Sidon will be inwater temple, you can then access thehome island.
After coming ashore from Wellspring Island using the waterfall, you are greeted by a small island in the sky called the Water Temple. Talk to Link and Sidon and you will be able to directly interact with the altar in front of you to unlock the Water Temple as a fast travel location.
The temple itself is small, but the puzzles can be a pain in the ass and the boss is no joke. Here's how to solve the problem.water templeThe dungeon and what you need to know before you start.
What you need to know before starting a water temple
Once you've unlocked the Water Shrine as a fast travel location, if you want to leave for more food and other materials, you can do so without worrying about crossing a long island again. We recommend that you prepare food, fruit and arrows.
Your task is to open four more water valves to remove the sludge. We've listed the valves below from left to right, but you don't have to do them in any particular order.
Sidon will also join you, so you'll need to interact with him to use his water abilities, just like you did in the Sludge Like fight.
How to get to the Water Temple
To get to the Water Temple, you must first complete the "sidon of zora"Zora's Field Quest. You need to travel throughFormer Zola water supply systemunlock them, then head over tohome islandin the sky.
Water Temple Chest
- Zora's Shield
- large brown zeolite
- mighty zoneite longsword
- 5 arrows
- opal
Open the first valve of the Water Temple
There's only one visible way to get to the upper platform right away, so head southwest and jump onto the platform, forming a somewhat broken bridge. Taking advantage of the island's low gravity, Link should be able to jump and glide.
Kill the three buildings that are waiting for you upstairs. Use the Splash Fruit arrow to clear the dirt from the clogged waterfall floating in the air to the south. Swim to the waterfall and grab Zora's shield from the chest.

A bubble maker will aim for the top platform, but it will be covered in mud. Get rid of it with the reliable water treatment powerhouse of Sidon.

Use Ultrahand to place the glowing ball in the water and place it in the water bubble before sending it to a higher platform. Jump into the bubble to find it.
Use the Ultrahand to drop the ball onto the glowing hole. It won't go in, but it will float nicely.
Then use the Ultrahand on a nearby floating platform and attach it to the top of the door. Hit the platform to activate it and use Ultrahand to lift the door. The water will flow, allowing the ball to fall into the hole. This will open the cage and give you access to the wheels that control the valves.

Use Sidon's water ability to hit the valve and open it. Return to the main area of the Water Temple when you're done.
Open the second valve in the water temple.
The next valve is actually inside the Water Temple on the lower level. From the broken bridge you went up to the first valve, jump down and follow this path to the bottom of the temple:
:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/24627679/jlee_230501_1001_totk_water_temple_b1.jpg)
Use Sidon's water shield ability to break through the flames that are blocking the entrance. Once inside, you must transport a glowing ball from the side of the pit to the entrance. Use the Ultrahand on the floating platform to build a bridge over the spikes and propel the ball forward. You can use Ultrahand to secure the ball to the platform for more control over it.
Remember, you have to hit the platforms (with weapons, arrows, etc.) to make them levitate.
Use your chest to shoot an arrow at a floating platform to shoot it down from the sky for a big zonaite.
:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/24627661/vlcsnap_2023_05_02_12h33m47s447.png)
Once you reach the wall, you can use the platform to build a step back, or use Ascend on the floating platform to quickly go up.
Use Ultrahand to hold the ball in the center of the floating platform, hit and rotate the platform, and use it to drop the ball into the hole.
:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/24627662/vlcsnap_2023_05_02_12h35m17s234.png)
Use another platform to hit the square switch next to the door for Sidon to join you.
:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/24627663/vlcsnap_2023_05_02_12h35m59s725.png)
Use Sidon's ability to hit the now open water wheel and return to the main area of the water temple.
Open the third valve of the Water Temple
At this point, a building may have appeared in the central part of the Water Temple, along with some chuchus, so clear them out if necessary.
Shoot a fruit-splattered arrow at this clogged waterfall to the northeast:
:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/24627665/vlcsnap_2023_05_02_12h39m39s460.png)
Swim to the waterfall and take out the ferocious enemies that you will see on the right. The chest it drops rewards a Sturdy Zonaite Longsword. Ignore that area for now and continue in this direction:
:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/24627666/vlcsnap_2023_05_02_12h40m42s289.png)
Use Sidon's water ability on the mud pile in the image above to clear the chest with five arrows inside.
Climb up the rubble and use the recovery vial to float to higher platforms.
Use the Ultrahand to attach the block to the waterwheel, then spin the waterwheel so it gains enough momentum to keep spinning.
:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/24627667/vlcsnap_2023_05_02_12h42m27s141.png)
Grab the blister with the Ultrahand and use it to connect the two cables.
:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/24627668/vlcsnap_2023_05_02_12h43m23s062.png)
Use Sidon's ability to activate the water wheel and jump to where you put out the fire as the enemy.
Open the fourth water valve.
Use Ascend to jump over floors that used to be on fire. Eliminate the constructions and the chuchus that are waiting for you up there.
After taking it out, please clean the mud on the rotating structure with water bubbles.
Use the objects around you to build yourself a high platform near the rotating structure. Slide down from there and take out the bow and aim for the switch inside the structure. Time will slow down, allowing you to successfully hit the switch without any issues.
:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/24651139/2023051115310568__1_.png)
Grab the chest on the north side of the now drained pool to get the opal.
Once you press the switch, the water will flow, allowing you to use the waterwheel. You know the drill: use Sidon's ability to hit the wheel and open the last valve.
How to defeat Mucktorok, the boss of the Water Temple
Once you are back in the central area of the temple you can now interact with the altar and the water will wash away the dirt. A nasty little creature, the Mucktorok, will jump out of the mud and you have to pull it out to stop the mud.
:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/24627670/vlcsnap_2023_05_02_13h05m09s323.png)
Mucktorok's combat mode is not overly intense. For most of the fight, he takes the form of a muddy shark that you'll need to use Sidon's aquatic abilities to clean up. In his shark form, he fires various types of attacks, including low beams and waves. Thanks to the low gravity level, you will have no problem jumping on these two attacks.
Once he removes the mud, give him a few more swipes and he'll start running off. If you hit him while he's running, he'll be temporarily stunned. We recommend blocking him and shooting an arrow to stun him. Repeat these steps until the boss is only half healthy.
The real problem arises inmiddle point, because it will start spitting mud everywhere. It is true that he spits mud faster than we can clean it up with Sidon's abilities, so we recommend bringing additional splash fruit.
You can use Sidon's abilities to clean up excess mud and sprinkle fruit, in fact you should, because too much mud can make navigating the arena difficult.
Now when you wash the muddy exterior of the shark, Mucktorok will start jumping from mud puddle to mud puddle, making it harder for your arrows to hit.
:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/24627671/vlcsnap_2023_05_02_13h07m00s250.png)
We ended up using keese eyes on our arrows, which allowed our arrows to target Mucktorok as he came out of shark form, stunning him and landing some good hits. After repeating this process several times, Mucktorok died.
After defeating the BOSS,HeartContainers will fall from the sky and you can finish"sidon of zora"Search line. Well done!
When you're ready, it's time to move onregional phenomenonQuests – Let's say you have other locations that you haven't completed yet.
