Imagine XA is specifically designed to fit PSB's Imagine X Series bookshelf and floorstanding speakers, creating a Dolby Atmos-enabled system from 5.1.2 to 7.1.4 or beyond your existing home theater setup. Dolby Atmos Speakers:Imagine XA is the first Dolby Atmos ready PSB speaker. Specifically designed for use as a "lift" or "high" speaker in a Dolby Atmos system from 5.1.2 to 7.1.4 or higher, Imagine XA creates an immersive layer of sound over the listener and delivers the emotion of the Dolby Atmos encoded soundtracks with 3D realism. Dolby Atmos:Dolby Atmos takes surround sound to a whole new level, adding the third dimension of height to the two-dimensional front/rear left/right 5.1 or 7.1 sound mix. With Dolby Atmos, the floor-standing speakers create the sonic "bed" and the Dolby Atmos-enabled height speakers are fed a separate, unobtrusive signal to move "sound objects" with pinpoint accuracy in the room. The effect is convincing across the board and takes the home theater experience to a new level.
Configuration from 5.1.2 channels to 7.1.4 channels:To enter the world of Dolby Atmos, you need to upgrade your sound system. You must add the necessary height information through two (2) or four (4) speakers (Dolby-enabled front and/or rear pairs) to create a 5.1.2/7.1.2 or 5.1.4/7.1 . 4 system. Of course, you also need a processor/receiver with additional Dolby Atmos decoding and additional amplifier channels.
Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers:While four lift speakers give the best result, you can get about 85% of the effect with just two lift speakers.
